The NAPFM Event 2021

Dear Exhibitor

It is with deep regret that it has been decided that the National Association of Police Fleet Managers 2021 Conference and the Emergency Fleet Exhibition will not take place as planned on the 6th & 7th July 2021, we hope this will be a postponement until later this year and was made after careful consideration from the NAPFM and with the full support of the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC)

The announcement that was made on Monday 14th June by Prime Minister Boris Johnson was clear, the Delta variant is spreading and is feared to increase as the next few weeks continue. Although the event was Covid compliant and was effective to run from May 17th, Police forces have communicated to delegates their nervousness around attendance at such a large event, and the media attention that may bring to the Police nationally. In some cases, forces are still operating with staff travel restrictions, relevant to the situation in their area / regions and this will likely impact on delegate figures.

We fully understand the work and expenditure everyone has put in to become part of this event and we are working closely with the venue to secure dates for later in the year, these will be announced in the next couple of days.

The very purpose and nature of our event is to support the engagement across our somewhat unique sector of the industry; therefore, it has been concluded that the event will be postponed.

When a new date is announced, I hope you will be able to once again support as we enter an unprecedented period of change for UK Police fleets given the impending environmental and technological advances. We are shaping the future strategy of how UK Police fleets will transition to the next decade and the contribution of fleet leads, manufacturer / suppliers and others will be an essential component.
